The Voidspire

Raid GuideRetail

Boss abilities and loot tables from Blizzard's own journal, boss by boss.

From high above the Voidstorm, Xal'atath has gathered the Devouring Host beneath her dark banner. The towering Voidspire looms like a spear of darkness, a citadel guarded by an army of the void. The forces of the light - led by Alleria Windrunner and the Champions of Azeroth - must rally for one last desperate assault before all is lost.

Written notes for this instance are a later milestone. Everything on this page comes from Blizzard's journal data.

Bosses

1. Imperator Averzian

Imperator Averzian wages a relentless campaign, seeking not conquest, but annihilation. His entire will is bent to a singular ambition: to rend the veil between worlds and carve a breach into the Void itself. Through this wound, his infinite host shall pour forth, drowning Azeroth in darkness.

Abilities

  • Overview

Averzian uses [Shadow's Advance] to claim territory on the battlefield. Territory claimed cannot be retaken, and if Averzian claims three adjacent territories in a row he unleashes the [March of the Endless]. Causing an [Umbral Collapse] on a territory being taken prevents its capture.

  • Shadow's Advance

On Heroic difficulty, Abyssal Voidshapers cast [Gathering Darkness] to transform into Obscurion Endwalkers.

  • Shadow's Advance

On Mythic difficulty, Abyssal Voidshapers cast [Gathering Darkness] to transform into Obscurion Endwalkers. In addition, they also cast [Cosmic Shell] to become immune to [Umbral Collapse].

Loot

2. Vorasius

A colossal predator born in the wastes of the Voidstorm, Vorasius grew to an incredible size fueled by an endless hunger. Summoned to the battle raging at the base of the Voidspire by Voidlight Everdawn, this colossal monster now feasts on both sides.

Abilities

  • Overview

Vorasius periodically strikes the ground with [Shadowclaw Slam], creating crystals that divide the battlefield. The behemoth then shakes off parasitic creeps that explode in a [Blisterburst] upon death. As the battle rages, Vorasius sweeps his deadly [Void Breath] from one side of the battlefield to the other, decimating anything caught in its path.

  • Shadowclaw Slam

Loot

3. Fallen-King Salhadaar

After turning on Xal'atath, the fallen king Salhadaar has become a captive of the very Shadowguard he once commanded. Tortured, delirious, and infused with the Void, he awaits his death--or a chance to win his people's freedom from Xal'atath's grasp.

Abilities

  • Overview

Fallen-King Salhadaar is infused with power from the surrounding machinery, slowly increasing his energy over time. Upon reaching 100 energy, he is overwhelmed by the Void and begins his [Entropic Unraveling]. Periodically, the Riftlabs produce orbs of Concentrated Void that are drawn toward Salhadaar. When an orb of Concentrated Void reaches him, he performs a [Void Infusion].

Loot

4. Vaelgor & Ezzorak

Born as clutchmates in the red dragonflight, Vaelgor and Ezzorak were once the guardians of all living things. Now, twisted by the dark will of Xal'atath, all that remains of their former selves is their unyielding bond to one another.

Abilities

  • Overview

The dragon siblings begin battle alternating between flying and grounded combat, swapping after [Midnight Flames] at full power. In response, the Lightbound Vanguard offer aid by providing their [Radiant Barrier] to nearby players. Eventually, both dragons land, combining their draconic might to annihilate players once and for all.

5. Lightblinded Vanguard

Once paragons of the Light, Senn, Bellamy, and Lightblood have surrendered to their own blinding zealotry--their faith perverted into a ruthless fanaticism that now compels them to smite all who oppose them.

6. Crown of the Cosmos

High atop the Voidspire, Xal'atath marshalls her dark army from across the Voidstorm. Aided by Turalyon, Arator, and Alleria, the mortals of Azeroth must confront her before she unleashes the might of the Voidspire against her enemies.

Abilities

  • Overview

Alleria Windrunner begins the fight held back by Undying Sentinels from the Void. She periodically strikes out at friend and foe alike with both Void effects and [Silverstrike Arrow]. When each of the Undying Sentinels have been destroyed, Alleria crashes into the platform and creates a Rift Simulacrum to assault her enemies with [Call of the Void] and [Ranger Captain's Mark].
